REFLECT.

Monday, April 18, 2011 - Posted by Julai at 9:13 PM
Since the holy week is coming up, I decided to have a mini-reflection. This is also thanks to the homily from last night's mass.

I really don't know where to start so please bear with me as what I may write here may not be so organized. I'll just be typing what comes out of my head.

So let's start with MYSELF. I am quite disappointed with myself because as of the moment, I know that I could have been a better person. I came to this thought because I know I've been a better person back then. I used to pray more, I used to say good things more, I used to be more driven and many other things. But now, it seems that I'm lacking the inspiration and motivation to improve myself. It's as if I'm having a stunted growth in terms of the psycho-social and spiritual division. I'm so not loving this. Sometimes, I even feel that I've closed off myself to other people. It's hard for me to explain but I hope you get to know what I mean. I'm also having difficulty in keeping my word when it comes to attaining my goals.

Oh God. Please give me strength and inspiration!

Hopefully, step-by-step, I will be able to improve myself even though just a teeny little bit during this holy week and through the days of my life. May this post serve as a reminder of what I have thought about.

THINK POSITIVE!

P.S.
I'm going to leave the internet world starting this Wednesday to make room for more meditations and reflections.

Comments, suggestions? Feel free to post them here!

KOREA meets PHILIPPINES in our tummy

Saturday, April 16, 2011 - Posted by Julai at 11:06 PM
Last Thursday, Channiel, April, Rei and I had our second food trip! Hooray!
Our second stop was 나이스 마트 (Nice Mart) located at West Avenue.

I was so happy and excited about it because Nice Mart sells KOREAN FOODS! Upon entering the store, it felt like heaven. I was overwhelmed by the all goodies they sell there. I felt like I was in a convenience store in Korea! I was so happy because I was able to read the food labels although I don't know what the other words mean, hahaha! The four of us ordered different kinds of noodles. Rei had kimchi ramyeon, C had jjampong, April had cheese bokki while I had beef ramyeon. WOW! I was so full after eating it! It was definitely worth every penny I paid for. I originally planned to eat ice cream afterwards but my tummy can't take it anymore. Sad:( I am definitely going back there. Who's coming with me?=]

Me, C and Rei enjoying the ramyeon!

The snacks I bought:)

At around 7 pm, we headed to CHIC-BOY (Chicken at Baboy) also located at West Avenue for Loon's despedida party. It was supposed to be a surprise for her but it didn't turn out much of a surprise. You know what I mean, hahaha. So, anyway, most of IV-6 was there and it was fun. We were supposed to treat Loon for dinner but it became the other way around. LOL:)) Too bad I had to leave early. I missed the gossips and the laughs, hahaha!

So, yeah. This entry is mostly about food and nothing else. I just hope that I maintain my weight despite these food trips we're having=]

Oh, btw, Mom's coming back tomorrow!

Nothing much happened today. So I'll just point out the main highlights of the day (in no particular order):

  • Finally got my new ATM. I swear to never forget my PIN again! Thank you Cara for coming with me all the way to Lacson cor. España. Cara, April and I tore my old ATM into pieces afterwards.
  • Food trip planning: Me and my friends are recently into some gastronomic adventure. I'm so thankful for Channiel who takes in charge in finding places for our food trips. Our next stop this Friday will be Nice Mart in Timog to buy Korean noodles for breakfast. For lunch, we'll be eating at ARMY NAVY. Uh-oh. May fasting pala sa Friday:O No meat! No meat! With all these food trips, I'm guessing that most of my money goes out to food. But as my friends says, "masakit man sa bulsa, busog naman." Hahaha!
  • I've finally decided to dye my hair (most probably next week) and go against my mother's advice. She told me kasi that dyeing my hair would make my hair to turn white faster. So why am I still all in for dyeing my hair? Maybe I am just curious. I really don't know. Maybe I'm feeling kinda experimental right now.
My day was not that exciting
BUT
being with my CRAAAAZY friends (I doubt that they will be even able to read this) made the day worthwhile.
Laughing and talking with them are just few of the simple pleasures I enjoy everyday.
Hopefully, the days ahead will be better!
Will update you regarding our food trips!
Till then~!

Our review class got suspended today so we decided to go to Ayala Triangle Garden to have our foodtrip. We had our lunch at BonChon Chicken. The soy garlic chicken was good! They also have this yummy iced tea which tastes like the iced tea sold at Wendy's.
Our next stop was Banapple. We decided to get different cakes and share them.
I decided to get the Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake since I'm very much in love with anything that has strawberries in it.
Ugh. CAKE OVERLOAD.
I couldn't even finish the whole slice because it was too big and I was already full.
All in all, our foodtrip was a success and we already have plans on where to go next. See you soon Ayala Triangle Garden!:) T

REBIRTH.

Posted by Julai at 6:42 PM
This is not exactly my first blog. I used to have blogs before this one but they ended up being shut down because of my lack of enthusiasm to update them.

SO WHY MAKE ONE NOW?

The thought of giving birth to a new blog ocurred to me last night. A lot of things happened in my life that I'd like to look back to every once in a while.

I've been very active in twitter but it won't allow me to express my thoughts as much as I can due to its character limit. It would also be very inappropriate and unethical (it's just me) to post a journal entry there. So, here I am posting my first entry in my new blog.

"Here we go, come with me,
There's a world out there that we should see.
Take my hand, close your eyes,
With you right here, I'm a rocketeer."
